Touring with A Dozen Paganis Through Tuscany – Pagani Raduno 2017 – Part 3

Day 3

Sunday was day three and the last main driving day of the Raduno. The roads took the cars on more flowing and twisty hill roads in Tuscany. With postcard worthy backdrops it was by far the most quintessentially Tuscan drive of the Raduno.

A shame the driving on Sunday didn’t last long with their morning coffee stop being quite close to their hotel. The third day of the Raduno had the most stops but was also a much shorter distance than the previous days.

Due to an incident with a few rogue spotters that joined us on the trip the day before, the crew and staff were a lot stricter towards everyone else. It was understandable but it also changed the overall mood. For the most part, the owners were very open and welcoming to the fans that joined them.

That meant the third day also had the most secluded lunch and dinner stops of the whole rally. Lunch on this day was held outdoors, luckily there was no spontaneous downpour of rain. After a somewhat long lunch stop, the cars headed back to the hotel for a rest before making their way to their last dinner. The roads back to the hotel overlooked more typically Tuscan scenery with

vineyards, hills, and villas in the distance.

The rally rested at the hotel for a few hours before heading towards their dinner at Cantina Antinori. This vineyard has been in the same family for over 600 years. The facility was recently revamped and according to the owners that were there it was reminiscent of a “Bond villain’s lair”. The cars were parked up inside the “basement” of the facility making for an incredible sight, a shame we couldn’t go in.
