# 8 Tsunoda clear himself of the humiliation and achieved the second victory this season!

FIA-F4 JAPANESE CHAMPIONSHIP Round 9 was held at Fuji Speedway on Aug 5, 2017(sat). # 8 Tsunoda lead the race with stable running from the start and won the championship. He cleared the regret from the previous race and achieved the second victory this season.

This round held after an interval of about two weeks from the previous race at Sportsland SUGO (Miyagi-Pref.). Fuji Speedway is the second stage in 2017 season and each driver was expected to take advantage of the previous win with the aim of taking the podium.

<Qualifying(Weather:Fine/Course:Dry)>

The qualifying for the 9th and 10th races began at 8:10 am, and 32 machines went out. For the qualifying, which took place for 30 minutes, it was a very close battle. In the meantime, # 5 Oyu (1’46.111) took pole position. #5 Oyu got the best lap time for the final race, also he took pole for the round 10. He got the double pole of the Fuji Round.

In the 2017 series, Oyu got pole positions 4 times. He is in top shape, but commented carefully while reflecting on the previous race, “I will try hard without forgetting to concentrate and concentrate while watching the surroundings.”

2nd position was #8 Tsunoda (1’46.253), won a great position to clear the regret of the previous race retirement. 3rd position was # 6 Sasahara (1’46.302). Defending champion # 4 Miyata (1’46.342) will start the final race from 7th position. His lap time was 4th position but he took a penalty as he was deemed to have traveled a number of times outside the course.

Formation lap started from 13:30 pm. Pole Sitter # 5 Oyu was discovered trouble with his car from an unknown cause, just before the start of the race. The race entered with 31 cars.

When the signal turn off, # 8 Tsunoda started race safely and the next place #6 Sasahara also kept on steadily. The two machines battled until the last lap with 0.4 seconds to 0.6 seconds closest. The two machines made a large gap between the rest of the grid and took the checkered flag with no change in ranking.

Behind it, # 1 Miyata, who received a penalty of 3 grid relegation, has been running for the fastest lap record, and gradually increased the ranking.  At the end of the race, Miyata passed # 35 kohno who driving in favorable time, winning the 3rd podium at Fuji (his home course).
