#100 RAYBRIG NSX-GT
On Saturday, May 20, 2017 AUTOBACS SUPER GT Round 3 "SUPER GT in KYUSHU 300 km" was held in AUTOPOLIS (Oita Prefecture). The heat was a reminder that summer was just around the corner, with the track temperature rising to over 40℃. In both GT500 and GT300 classes, 45 cars took to the track to race.
NSX and GT-R made a good fight in GT500 class, 1st: # 100 RAYBRIG NSX-GT (Yamamoto / Izawa), 2nd: # 46 S Road CRAFTSPORTS GT-R (Motoyama / Chiyo), 3rd: # 1 DENSO KOBELCO SARD LC 500 (Hirate / Heikki Kovalainen).
Qualifying 1
#25 VivaC 86 MC
GT 300: Q 1 was started at 13: 30. For 2017, the new GT 300 new machine #52 GreenBrave MARK X MC (Bannba) hit the tire barrier on the first hairpin after 3 minutes from the beginning of the race. As a result, there was a Red flag, and the final time was decided from the time it went off the track.
GT 500: The teams were waiting for their timing and as they went in. With about a minute left, # 17 KEIHIN NSX-GT's Kogure left the track near the second hairpin and touched the guardrail. # 100 RAYBRIG NSX-GT Izawa won pole position with good conditions throughout the official practice.
Qualifying 2
#100 RAYBRIG Yamamoto, Takahashi, Izawa
GT300: # 5 Mach Syaken MC86 GTNET's Rookie Fujinami recorded a good lap time (1’44.336). In the last 2 minutes, only # 25 Matsui beat out lap time by 43 seconds. As a result, #25 recorded had the top time for both sessions (Q1 and Q2) and got pole position.
GT 500: Like in Q1, during the 12-minute session, each car was chasing in during the final 8 minutes of timing and started their attack. # 100 Yamamoto recorded 1'33.740 and took the pole position. This was the first time Yamamoto got to pole position. In addition, the # 38 ZENT CERUMO LC 500 Tachikawa, and # 6 WAKO'S 4CR LC 500 Caldarelli had to forgo their best lap times because they didn’t slow down enough for the yellow flag, which was brought out as # 36 au TOM'S LC500 Nakajima went off the track.
